This years Autumn Leaf kids - Lil and El
On this fabulously blustery leaf blowin' day, give it up if you're trying to make a pile of leaves. You're not going to get them in the bag. But you might this weekend and that's good because you'll be able to 'stockpile' your bags of leaves to bring to the LHCG if you can't make it on Saturday November 22nd between 9am and noon. That's when Cub Scout Troop 890 will be adding cotton meal to your leaves, mulching them and returning you a bag of good fertilizer. And if you get 'em bagged this weekend, bring 'em on over early to 7901 Goforth, just west of White Rock Trail behind the old Armory. Deposit you bags of leaves next to the cool compost bin the big boys of Troop 890 built for the garden. Then pop back over on the 22nd and pick up your bag of good fertilizer. Happy raking!
Lovely shot, but Lillie is quite upset that she is not noticeable. ha. Cool. Way to go JJ

Yes--no bags on the curb to go to the landfill! Those leaves are better mulched and used to naturally fertilize our beautiful Lake Highlands urban forest, gardens and yards.
