Wild for Cats yard signs

It's not your imagination. Red and black yardsigns are popping up all over LH. The signs say "Wild for Cats," and each one represents a donation made by an LH homeowner to support LH schools. Contributions to this "Academic Booster Club" are used to meet teacher and staff requests (primarily at Lake Highlands High), including a free online SAT prep course, classroom equipment, and stipends to secure teachers for specialized courses. Huge numbers of volunteer hours have gone into the project, including students who have been installing signs during this oppressive heat. Jillian Murphy and Eden Aune are shown here with Jack and Kathy Cleaveland. At last count we had raised $92,450, so your donation today would move us a click toward the $100,000 mark. What a great way to show new principal Walter Kelly what kind of community we are. Mad props to the volunteers that have stepped up to deliver these signs and help out with everything that this fund raiser is doing. And wow, seems to be very effective. Congrats!
