Lake Highlands resident lays claim to Highland Park!

ArcticmapDid you see this news item today, whereby Russia's Putin, in his ever-mounting, authoritative stand for power, has laid claim to the North Pole, with all its oil, gas, diamonds and such?  To quote the UK's Daily Mail "His audacious argument that an underwater Russian ridge is linked to the North Pole is likely to lead to an international outcry."  But, he does not care.

In that light, I hereby lay claim to Highland Park, because Mockingbird Lane runs from both sides of Dallas, right smack dab into it. It makes imminent sense! Then, the leading expert of all things Dallas --the publisher of D Magazine -- would actually have to live in the Big D.  It will become a junior partner to Lake Highlands, simply because it would be easier and cheaper to change the stationary and signs --  add an "s" and paint over the "Park."  Plus, LHAIA already lays claim to almost half of the northeast Dallas quadrant already, so what's a few more streets and strip malls to them?!

I have a call into our new uniter, Mayor Leppert, right now. He wants big ideas... and dagnabbit, Jethro, this is one big idea! Stay tuned.

It takes some pretty creative thinking to tie Putin, the North Pole, Highland Park, D and Mayor Leppert together in the same post and actually have it make sense, so congratulations, Bill, on a job well done!
